AutoViral ("we", "our", "us") is a social media automation platform operated by Utopia AI. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our website and services at autoviral.my (the "Service").

By using AutoViral, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.

2. Information We Collect

2.1 Account Information

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored securely via Supabase Auth). You may optionally provide a display name and WhatsApp number.

2.2 Social Media Account Data

When you connect your Facebook or Instagram account via Meta OAuth, we receive and store:

  • Your Facebook Page ID and name
  • Your Instagram Business Account ID and username
  • An access token (encrypted) to perform actions on your behalf

We only access accounts you explicitly authorize. We do not access personal profiles, private messages, stories, or any data beyond what is needed to publish content and analyze public business accounts.

2.3 Content You Create

We store captions, images, hashtags, and scheduling preferences that you create through our Service. AI-generated content (captions and images) is stored to enable preview, editing, and publishing.

2.4 Competitor Analysis Data

When you add a competitor username, we access publicly available information via Meta's official Business Discovery API. This includes public profile information (name, bio, follower count) and public post data (captions, like counts, comment counts, timestamps). We do not access any private data.

2.5 Usage Data

We may collect basic usage analytics such as pages visited, features used, and error logs to improve the Service.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide and maintain the Service
  • To publish content to your connected social media accounts on your behalf
  • To generate AI-powered content suggestions based on your preferences
  • To analyze public competitor data and provide insights
  • To send service-related notifications (scheduled post confirmations, token expiry warnings)
  • To improve and optimize the Service

4. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

  • Supabase — Database, authentication, and file storage
  • Meta Platform (Facebook/Instagram) — Social media account connection and content publishing via official APIs
  • Anthropic (Claude API) — AI caption generation. Your topic/prompt is sent to generate captions; no personal data is shared.
  • Google (Gemini API) — AI image generation. Image prompts are sent to generate images; no personal data is shared.
  • Vercel — Application hosting and serverless functions

5. Data Security

We implement security measures to protect your data:

  • Social media access tokens are stored encrypted in our database
  • All data transmission uses HTTPS/TLS encryption
  • Authentication is handled by Supabase with industry-standard security
  • Row-Level Security (RLS) ensures users can only access their own data

6. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, we delete all associated data including connected accounts, posts, competitor analyses, and settings within 30 days.

7. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access your personal data stored in our Service
  • Disconnect your social media accounts at any time
  • Delete your account and all associated data
  • Export your post data
  • Revoke Meta permissions directly through Facebook Settings → Apps

8. Data Deletion

Per Meta Platform requirements, you can request complete deletion of your data by:

  • Deleting your AutoViral account through the Settings page
  • Disconnecting your Facebook/Instagram accounts (which also revokes our access)
  • Contacting us directly at the email below

Upon deletion request, we will remove all your data from our systems within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

AutoViral is not intended for users under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
